I want to get a car that gets excellent gas mileage AND is fun to drive. Any suggestions?|||The nano from nanotech motors seats 5 (supposidly) and gets 80 miles to the gallon.|||well...this is a tricky question because fuel economy and "the fun to drive factor" are like a double edge sword...if you pick fuel economy your gonna sacrifice performance and vice versa. If I had to pick a fun to drive car with fuel economy, I would pick the Civic Si..it gets about 23mpg in the city but you get almost 200 horsepower with that..most cars its size get that fuel milage with about 40-50 less horsepower. Its relatively inexpensive too, about $21,000 to $26,000(fully loaded)|||oh, thats easy, but it all depends on how big you want your car and how much your willing to spend.
A smart car is a "smart" way to go (haha) but its also not very big and if you want more then two people to be able to ride in it, it's not a good idea. There are volkswagons which are okay. They are cheaper if you get them second hand and they have a lot of room in the trunk and can hold up to five people (i know because i own one). Of course, if your looking for a bigger car, deffinetly go for anything that runs on diesel.|||The 2001-2004 Honda Insight Hybrid gets 60mpg city and 66mpg highway. But it is a very small car. It might be only a 2 seater car.
Next is the Toyota Prius and Honda Civic Hybrid.
After that is the 2002-2005 VW Golf/Jetta/Beetle Diesel that gets 40mpg city and 44mpg highway.|||you should get a 2007-2008 Chevy Avalanche I bought a 2007 avalanche and it gets good mpg its really fast and fun to drive. it did cost me $42,000 but it was well worth it
