Which gets better gas mileage a 2 wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive? Or, does it even matter?Gas mileage?
So long as you are comparing the same catagories of vehicles, just suvs or just cars, the 2 wheel ones have a better gas milage. You can do great research at autos.yahoo.com.

Yes it makes a difference....The 2WD is better , I had an I dentical Astro Van 2WD and Now I have the Identical van Except,, Its 4WD also 4Mpg less than the 2wd.... 20mpg verses 16mpg
Of course 2 Wheel drive gets better mileage. But in NH when your up to your butt in snow all you care about is going to 4 high and getting home. It's a trade off ,safety for saving a couple of $$.Gas mileage?
