Are there any small cars that get good gas mileage and do well driving in the snow?

I'm looking to buy another car (used) - bc my current car is horrible in the snow. I'm looking for a small, inexpensive used car just to be used for winter driving. Are there any smallish cars that are good with driving in the snow and its not necessary that they get good gas mileage but, that'd be a plus the way gas prices are skyrocketing. Are there any small cars that get good gas mileage and do well driving in the snow?
One of the things not mentioned is cars that have traction control. If you cannot not switch the traction control off this can be a problem as you will not be able to spin the tires enough to get up even very slight grades as the power will be reduced.
Dear sk8brdkd,

I agree with others that have replied to your question; good tires are something that you will want to take into consideration. However, I recommend that you use the GM Certified Used Vehicle site to research used GM vehicles in your area. Here is the site address: www.gmcertified.com.

Since, you are seeking something with good gas mileage I recommend that you research the Chevrolet Cobalt or the Chevrolet Aveo. If these two vehicles are too small for what you are seeking; then I recommend taking a look at the Chevrolet Malibu or the Chevrolet Impala.

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to private message me.

I am shopping for a new car, and this is exactly what I am looking for. So, for the last week I have been studying this topic like my life depends upon it. I have also watched almost all the crash test video, and you might also want to look up the list of cars on the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety like I did. The absolute best car that I came up with for driving in snow, that is small is the Subaru Impreza 2.5i

If you go to the Subaru website you can search for used Subarus. I live in a country that gets snow for the most part of the year and i am going to work my hardest to get myself into a Subaru.
I hope your not american asking this question.....people crying bout no jobs when there are plenty of Excellent quality built cars made here in the USA, only time you buy foreign is if you are getting a BMW or a Mercedes etc now i would buy one of them ........ i have a Chevy Cobalt had 18 inches of snow ....didnt stop me ! , oh yea it gets 34.2 mpg w/auto.Are there any small cars that get good gas mileage and do well driving in the snow?
Any car can do great in snow with the proper tires. In fact, I can pass Subarus in my mustang. It's more about the driver than the car.
yes ! get a subaru. they will go right through snow and not bad on gas either. if you have a wife and kids get a subaru wagon like a outback.
Maybe the Subaru Justy, but it will be very hard to find because I don't think they make it anymore.
