What sport bike has the best combination of power and gas mileage?

I recently bought a Ninja 250 which some would say has power and gas mileage. But it is lacking on the power side when compared to larger engine sport bikes. What sport bikes are out there that have a "normal" or medium amount of power and gets good gas mileage (like 50+ mpg average)? What sport bike has the best combination of power and gas mileage?
GSXR600 is probably the most powerful 600cc. They all will get around the same mileage.
The Ninja EX500 is twice the size of your bike and gets good fuel mileage as well. It is faster, but not as fast as a GSXR or CBR, mind you. But it's still plenty fast.

Once you get into the middleweight 600cc class of the Suzuki GSXR's, the Honda CBR's, the Kawasaki Ninja's, and the Yamaha R6, things really start to blend together- it all comes down to personal taste. Most bikes are within + or - a few seconds on a race track with a comparable rider, and on the street, it comes down to the indivdual riders talent. Not one bike is amazingly faster than another. And, all get around the same fuel mileage (except the new Yamaha R6, which revs to 17,600rpm, killing fuel mileage).

Just be sure to stay within your abilties and get a bike YOU like. What sport bike has the best combination of power and gas mileage?
EX-500!!!
You can buy any 600 mid weight and get it tuned for fuel efficiency. Should get awesome mileage and still have good power. Ninja 6R all the way... though I'd hate to make my baby lose ANY power, I'll pay the extra gas money. What sport bike has the best combination of power and gas mileage?
gsx-r1000 good gas mileage plus has power to pass or sunday drive all day long.
