What are some inexpensive ways to get better gas mileage from my Ford Ranger?

What are some parts I can buy, or products I can get that will help me get better gas mileage out of my 93 Ranger 4wd?What are some inexpensive ways to get better gas mileage from my Ford Ranger?
1. Get a good engine tune-up.

2. Maintain correct air pressure in tires.

3. Drive sensibly - no jack rabbit starts, steady gas pedal pressure

4. Drive downhill and with the wind.
o its easy all you have to do is excelarate slower and go about two miles below the speed limitWhat are some inexpensive ways to get better gas mileage from my Ford Ranger?
Good suggestions except for removing the tailgate, that won't make a damn bit of difference. They proved it at the factory in a wind tunnel.
a two-by-four. Seriously, tape it under the gas pedal, so you can't floor it. my 94 mazda b3000 gets solidly into the 22-24 range in town with this "mod". Also, change your air filter, inflate your tires to the maximum specified (I think 35psi) pressure, and use a good quality synthetic motor oil.

take the 2x4 out after you've learned to drive with it. just in case you ever need the extra power... at least you'll remember that pushing down the pedal pulls cash out of your wallet...What are some inexpensive ways to get better gas mileage from my Ford Ranger?
Change to a Japanese/Korean car
if you don't have a bed cover take off the tail gate, keep your tires properly inflated, use a good fuel infector cleaner(I recomend valvoline)keep your air filter clean, wash and wax it(yes a clean truck has less drag)plugs wires and O2 sensor on a regular basis
