Gas Mileage?

I figured out that my Honda Accord 2001 V-6 goes 25 miles per gallon. Now, I want to know if that's a good or a bad thing.

How can I find out how much gas my car should be wasting? If it's wasting too much gas, what can I do or check in order to improve the gas mileage my car gets?Gas Mileage?

You didn't mention if it was city or highway or combined mileage. But anyway, 25 is not bad. You can improve the mileage by keeping the engine in tune and replacing filters and watching the air pressure in your tires. That is often overlooked with drivers.

Personally, you could try a little softer or slower starts and accelerate a little slower, when you can, and not holding up traffic. good luck.Gas Mileage?
That's pretty good for a V6. The mpg vary depending on how you drives and where you drive (city or highway). It also depends on if you have your window open or AC on. Anyway here's a great site to read up on how to improve your gas mileage and you can also look up what your car is suppose to be at: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/sbs.htm
fuel mileage is affected by a lot of different factors, an '01 honda accord should be getting above 30 mpg on avg (highway and city) according to honda's website (www.honda.com) things you should check to improve fuel economy: Engine air filter, Tire Pressure, excessive weight in vehicle (i.e. golf clubs in trunk), you may want to have your fuel injectors cleaned if that has never been done as well, check your spark plugs and wires as well, a fouled plug can cause poor fuel economy.
