How fast should I accelerate to get good gas mileage?

I am trying to cut down on driving aggresively. I have a 98 Avalon XLS with a V6 200hp 3L engine. At how many RPMS would I accelerate at to get good gas mileage? Like seriously, what is normal? How fast should I accelerate to get good gas mileage?
Fuel is injected in proportion to the "load" on the engine. There are many ways to measure load but the easiest is the manifold vacuum. Many newer cars have an instananeous "mileage meter" in the dash. My '05 Honday Odyssey has one. It moves up and down as you accelerate or go up hills, etc. This meter is basically a vacuum gauge. Zero vacuum means wide open throttle and maximum vacuum means idle and no load or possibly going down a hill or coming do a stop. In any case, no load.

To maximize your gas mileage you need to maximize your vacuum. In other words, don't step on the gas pedal any more than you have to.

The other issue is acceleration. During quick acceleration, the computer in your car will automatically inject EXTRA fuel to improve drivability and performance. To measure this the computer has a Throttle Position sensor that is basically connected to your right foot. If you make quick movements with your right foot, the computer will think you are trying to accelerate and result in extra fuel being injected. If you have a twicky right foot, your mpg may be effected. Here's the bottomline: push on the gas smoothly at all times.

Most vehicles are designed to provide maximum mileage per gallon at 55mph in overdrive or whatever top gear you have. The rpm at that speed and gear is your magic rpm. Try to operate your vehicle around that rpm.

Practically speaking, here are the rules to maximize mpg: drive smoothly (no quick starts %26amp; stops), don't speed, and maintain your car.

Good Luck!
you sould only let it go up to 2500 rpm. if you want little bitter faster than at 3000rpm this will save gas.How fast should I accelerate to get good gas mileage?
Drive like there is an egg under the gas peddle and you are trying to slowly push it out, not crush it.
There's no "cut and dried" answer, since mileage depends upon a lot of factors, such as rolling resistance, wind resistance, and the overall condition of the vehicle. I'd just avoid "jack rabbit" starts and sudden stops as that's a sure way of decreasing mileage and longevity of the car, as well. Hope this helped a little. Good gas mileage would likely be under 3k in each gear. Since it's automatic (assuming) I don't think it's that easy to monitor your power. Using a fuel ionizer on the gas line will ACTUALLY help so maybe you want to try that for under 20 bucks could kick in maybe 2-3 mpg? I used to use one but it made my car run too lean, the difference was noticeable on my car but I have a 2l 4 banger so...results could vary. Still, if I lay off the accelerator and keep the revs under 3k even I get around 25mpg city and I have a supercharged vehicle so...yeah it's doable!
