When shopping for a car is gas mileage your main concern?

Is that all that matters to you now? Getting a car with the best gas mileage possible? Or are you more concerned about safety, reliability, and style? When shopping for a car is gas mileage your main concern?
Look at OVERALL expense over the entire time you will own the car. For example, buying a Hybrid just to save gas when its new will put you in the poor house if you keep it until it needs new battery's and the closer it gets in age to that point the quicker it's resale value will drop.

Many will be shocked when they have to put out thousands of dollars to replace the battery's and they will be shocked at the low trade in value of the car as it gets closer to that replacement time.
What matters most to me in a car is tail fins. When shopping for a car is gas mileage your main concern?
No...I want the biggest SUV I can find. Screw gas prices, it is not a problem.
no id have to say reliability is still #1 looks a close 2nd gas is always going to be expensive its a fact of life dealWhen shopping for a car is gas mileage your main concern?
i am still concerned about style. Also i am concerned about auto insurance. Makes a difference which insurance policy and company you deal with for your automobile.
Gas mileage is very important as the gas price is up to $11 per gallon over here in Istanbul. Also the engine displacement is very important. Over 4000 cc displacement, annual tax is over $10000 while under 1300 cc it is only $400. None of these numbers are exaggerated in any way and they are in U.S. dollars. A GL series Mercedes SUV costs $279000 with an annual insurance of $11000. Which one do you think I should worry about more?
Mileage is in the middle towards the bottom of my list. Ten years from now, we're going to laugh at how much fuel cars use/waste today, just like we laugh at the mileage cars from the 50's and 60's achieved.
I just wanted to let everyone know about this great site I found with lots of useful Gas saving tips and information. It is a free site, so no worries. Check it out and save some money like I did using the tips. Good luck!
